To Whom it may concern: I am writing this letter in Re: to case #TR21-0012, requesting the removal of an Oak Tree. My concern arises from a conversation that I had with the new owner, when he first purchased the property.. One of the first things he said was, "I am getting rid of all of the trees." Soon after that, he removed an Oak Tree from the front yard of the existing property. Apparently someone in the neighborhood, got concerned and called the city re: the Oak Tree. Shortly thereafter, there were fences placed around the existing Oak Trees. It was several weeks after that, when I was out of town, that he removed all of the trees on a small hill adjacent to my property. ( even though he had agreed to leave two small trees that were giving me shade and privacy, and were necessary to stop erosion. It was also at that time, that I noticed that the fences around the other Oak Trees were gone. I had no idea about what was going on, but was concerned, since he had about gone back on his word to me and had not considered the significant probability of erosion by what he had done, in removing all of the trees, probly 10-15 trees. It concerned me, that if he proceeded to remove any of the remaing dirt/small hill, that again it may create erosion of my property. I called the Town of Danville engineering dept. and was informed that he would be responsible for engineering a new support system to replace.... what the natural support system had done for many years. My concern regarding the issue of taking down the additional Oak Tree, is that the reason, he is stating the need to take it down, may not be valid. 1 After my experience, I question other motives..for removing this incredible tree. I have recently heard that a neighbor... had an Arborist come out... and look at the tree, and the Arborist said there was no reason ...disease, or danger of falling...that the tree needed to be taken down. I would just ask that the Town of Danville, validate his assertions that there is something wrong with the tree, and therefore must be taken down.. I know for a fact, that all of the neighbors, are disturbed about this probability and do not want this incredible Oak Tree cut down. Thank you, Linda Lenches 467 Love Lane 2
