CALL TO ORDER The special meeting of the Heritage Resource Commission was called to order by Chair Holmes at 5:00 p.m. The meeting was conducted by teleconference only. 1.1 Roll Call Administrative Assistant Joan Snashall conducted the roll call for attendance: Present: Kim Holmes, Chair Kathryn Benvenuto, Vice Chair James Powers, Commissioner Jerry Warren, Commissioner Mike Ammann, Alt. Commissioner Mark Graham, Commissioner Excused: Lee Halverson, Commissioner (Joined meeting at 5:10 p.m.) 1.2 Announcements Administrative Assistant Joan Snashall provided information regarding the format of the meeting and instructions for public comment. 2. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA There were no changes to the order of the agenda. 3. “FOR THE GOOD OF THE TOWN” – Citizens who would like to address the Commission about a historic-related subject that is not listed on the agenda must submit written comments to Joan Snashall prior to 4:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting. Comments will be read into the record and should not exceed three (3) minutes. There were no public comments received. Danville Heritage Resource Commission – Special Meeting Summary of Actions September 14, 2020 2 4. ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION/ACTION 4.1 Consider approval of the Summary of Actions from the March 9, 2020, regular Heritage Resource Commission meeting. MOTION BY CHAIR HOLMES, SECOND BY COMMISSIONER GRAHAM, TO APPROVE THE SUMMARY OF ACTIONS FROM THE MARCH 9, 2020, REGULAR HERITAGE RESOURCE COMMISSION MEETING MOTION CARRIED 6-0-0-1; COMMISSIONER HALVERSON EXCUSED 4.2 Consider recommendation to the Town Council to appoint Heritage Resource Commission/Planning Commission representative to the Historic Design Review Committee for the term ending December 31, 2022. MOTION BY CHAIR HOLMES, SECOND BY COMMISSIONER WARREN TO APPOINT COMMISSIONER GRAHAM AS THE HERITAGE RESOURCE/PLANNING COMMISSION REPRESENTATIVE TO THE HISTORIC DESIGN REVIEW COMMITTEE FOR THE TERM ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2022 MOTION CARRIED 6-0-0-1; COMMISSIONER HALVERSON EXCUSED 4.3 Consider approval of the updated Danville Inventory of Historic Sites, dated September 14, 2020. David Crompton, Chief of Planning, provided details of the updates. Administrative Assistant Joan Snashall advised the Commission that there were no public comments received in advance of the meeting. MOTION BY VICE CHAIR BENVENUTO, SECOND BY COMMISSIONER POWERS, TO APPROVE THE UPDATED DANVILLE INVENTORY OF HISTORIC SITES DATED SEPTEMBER 14, 2020 MOTION CARRIED 6-0-0-1; COMMISSIONER HALVERSON EXCUSED Danville Heritage Resource Commission – Special Meeting Summary of Actions September 14, 2020 3 4.4 Consider approval of Resolution No. 2020-01, recommending that the Town Council designate the Xavier/DeSousa building located at 375 Hartz Avenue as a Danville Heritage Resource. David Crompton, Chief of Planning, presented the staff report. Commissioner Halverson joined the meeting. Administrative Assistant Joan Snashall advised the Commission that there were no public comments received in advance of the meeting. MOTION BY COMMISSIONER WARREN, SECOND BY ALTERNATE COMMISSIONER AMMANN, TO APPROVE RESOLUTION NO. 2020-01, DESIGNATING THE XAVIER’S SHOE STORE/DESOUSA BUILDING AS A DANVILLE HERITAGE RESOURCE MOTION CARRIED 7-0-0-0 5. REPORTS AND COMMUNICATIONS 5.1 Commissioner Reports There were no Commissioner reports. 6.
