CALL TO ORDER The regular meeting of the Danville Town Council was called to order by Mayor Morgan at 5:00 p.m. The meeting was conducted by teleconference only. 1.1 Roll Call City Clerk Marie Sunseri conducted the roll call for attendance. Present: Renee Morgan, Mayor Newell Arnerich, Vice Mayor Dave Fong, Councilmember Karen Stepper, Councilmember Robert Storer, Councilmember All Councilmembers were present. 1.2 Announcements City Clerk Marie Sunseri provided information regarding the format of the meeting and instructions for public comment. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG The pledge of allegiance to the flag was led by Seng Lovan, Senior Library Manager. 3. FOR THE GOOD OF THE TOWN The following individuals submitted written comments prior to the meeting regarding the incident with the Danville Police Department that occurred on March 11, 2021: Julia Prehn Christina Riley Cristina Galvan So The following speakers commented on the incident with the Danville Police Department that occurred on March 11, 2021: Douglas Leich Katherine Walley Katie Mahon Kristin Chambers Veronica Benjamin Michelle Lucker Hooman Hodjat Laurie Wolfe Neda Athanasios Reena Chhatre Kelly Ryan Brennan McKay Sameera Rajwade Natasha Verma Joan Benjamin Donna Kayla Eaton Mayor Morgan stated that a Town letter has been submitted in support of AB988 and improved access to mental health services. The Town supports full transparency during investigation of the recent incident. She added that we are deeply saddened by the increase of harassment and discrimination directed toward members of the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) community. The Danville Town Council strongly condemns these acts and assures our AAPI neighbors that they have our fullest empathy and support. The Town of Danville is committed to supporting all members of our community, and DANVILLE TOWN COUNCIL SUMMARY OF ACTIONS APRIL 6, 2021 3 we will continue our efforts to ensure that everyone is treated with respect and dignity. 5. PRESENTATIONS AND PROCLAMATIONS 5.1 Presentation of a proclamation to Seng Lovan, Senior Community Library Manager, proclaiming April 4 – 10, 2021 as National Library Week Mayor Morgan presented a proclamation to Seng Lovan. 6. CONSENT CALENDAR 6.1 Consider approval of the Summary of Actions from the regular Town Council meeting of March 16, 2021 6.2 Consider approval of the Register of Demands 6.3 Consider adoption of Resolution No. 13-2021, accepting the Development Impact Fees AB 1600 Report for Fiscal Year 2019/20 MOTION BY COUNCILMEMBER STORER, SECOND BY COUNCILMEMBER STEPPER, TO APPROVE THE CONSENT CALENDAR MOTION CARRIED 5-0 7. TOWN MANAGER’S REPORT 7.1 Monthly Town Manager’s report by Joe Calabrigo Town Manager Joe Calabrigo provided the report. 8. TOWN COUNCIL REPORTS 8.1 Street Smarts Boardmember report by Councilmember Storer Councilmember Storer provided the report. 8.2 RecycleSmart Boardmember report Mayor Morgan and Vice Mayor Arnerich Vice Mayor Arnerich provided the report. DANVILLE TOWN COUNCIL SUMMARY OF ACTIONS APRIL 6, 2021 4 8.3 Town Council updates Councilmembers provided updates on activities and events in Danville and thanked the community for participating in the meeting and expressing their concerns. 9.
