CALL TO ORDER The special meeting of the Danville Design Review Board was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Chair Combs. The meeting was conducted by teleconference only. 1.1 Roll Call Roll call was conducted for attendance: Present: Mark Belotz, Board Member Robert Combs, Chair Afshan Hamid, Board Member Lou Palandrani, Board Member Chris Trujillo, Vice Chair Kevin Wong, Board Member Excused: None 1.2 Announcements Information was provided on the format of the meeting and instructions for public comment. 2. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA There were no changes to the order of the agenda. 3. FOR THE GOOD OF THE TOWN Town Councilmember David Fong thanks the Board Members for their service. 4. ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION/ACTION 4.1 Election of 2021 Design Review Board Chair 2 Chair Combs was elected to continue as the Chair for 2021 4.2 Election of 2021 Design Review Board Vice Chair Board Member Palandrani was elected as the 2021 Vice Chair 4.3 Consider approval of the December 10, 2020 Meeting Summary The December 10, 2020, Meeting Summary was approved 5. PUBLIC HEARINGS 5.1 Review proposed building modifications and final colors and materials for the previously approved Clocktower redevelopment project. The applicant is requesting to modify the architectural plans by adding two additional peaked tower elements on the front (Hartz Avenue) elevation. The site is located at 301 Hartz Avenue (Project Planner: David Crompton). There were no public comments. Decision: The Design Review Board approved the architectural modification, with the two additional towers being modified to have an 8:12 slope, approved the paint colors, and requested that the applicant supply the proposed brick colors on-site for final review and approval by the Design Review Board. 5.2 Review and recommend approval of the architectural elevations, site plan, and landscape design for Development Plan request DEV21-0001 for a previously approved five-lot subdivision (SD9543). The site is located at 1485 Lawrence Road (Project Planner: Riley Anderson-Barrett). There were no public comments. Decision: The Design Review Board reviewed and approved the proposed architectural plans The DRB requested that staff to review the appropriateness of additional trees along Lawrence Road, and revised paint colors for Plan 1, Lot 5 to be reviewed by staff and forwarded to the Design review Board for final review. 6. REPORTS AND COMMUNICATIONS 6.1 Board Member Reports 3 There were no Board Member reports. 7. ADJOURNMENT The special meeting of the Danville Design Review Board was adjourned at 5:55 p.m.
