HomeMy WebLinkAbout030221-06.4ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF REPORT 6.4 TO: Mayor and Town Council March 2, 2021 SUBJECT: Resolution No. 9-2021, accepting public and private improvements and dedications for Subdivision 9437, Abigail Place, located off Old Blackhawk Road BACKGROUND On September 18, 2018, the Town Council approved the subdivision map for this 19-lot single family residential development. Construction of the subdivision improvements is now complete. Action by the Town Council is necessary to accept the improvements and dedications. The private improvements consist of street paving, curb and gutter, sidewalk, curb ramps, storm drainage and treatment facilities, common area landscaping, retaining walls, and street and traffic signs. The public improvements consist of a raised pedestrian crosswalk on Old Blackhawk Road. The subdivision map (Attachment B) includes the following offers of dedications and relinquishments: 1.Emergency Vehicle Access Easement (EVAE) over Julia Loop, private street 2.Public Utility Easement (PUE) abutting the private street 3.Relinquishment of Abutter’s rights on Old Blackhawk Road on lots 1, 13 and 14 The recommended resolution (Attachment A) accepts all of these dedications and relinquishments on behalf of the Town. Once accepted, the subdivider will have the option of replacing the current performance security with a one-year guarantee. Upon adoption of Resolution No. 9-2021, the City Clerk may release the performance security and legal security. The payment security may be released in three months if no claims are filed with the City Clerk. PUBLIC CONTACT Posting of the meeting agenda serves as notice to the general public. A copy of this Administrative Staff Report has been sent to the subdivider and Surety Company. Acceptance of Subdivision 9437 2 March 2, 2021 Abigail Place FISCAL IMPACT Upon completion of the project improvements, the Town will be responsible for routine maintenance of the raised pedestrian crosswalk. The total fiscal impact to the Town will be approximately $201 annually. RECOMMENDATION Adopt Resolution No. 9-2021, accepting public and private improvements and dedications for Subdivision 9437, Abigail Place, located off Old Blackhawk Road.
