If it is the intent of the Town to convert one of the Osage tennis courts to two pickle ball courts, I
vehemently protest.
Those four courts already get heavy usage at all times of the day. Most importantly to me, if you intend
to allow women’s leagues to reserve three courts as you’ve done for years, you’ll be unable to keep one
court for unscheduled public use. These are PUBLIC COURTS and the public deserves public access to at
least one court at all times for its intended original use.
You should also consider this - no one wants to play tennis next to even one pickle ball court. They are
very noisy. You are likely going to get many complaints for the women’s leagues as well who have to
play next to two pickle ball games. And the Osage courts were poorly designed to begin with (adjacent
tennis courts are MUCH too close to each other). It would make tennis/pickle ball interaction even
worse!
Please don’t do this. It will prove to be a big mistake.
