Parks and Recreation Council Attn: Chair Jane Joyce Danville, California Delivered By E-mail To: jjoyce@danville.ca.gov RMorgan@danville.ca.gov HPerezalonso@danville.ca.gov rdiamond@danville.ca.gov Re: Please Save San Ramon Valley Tennis Club and Daytime Competitive Tennis in Danville I am a resident of Danville and long-term member and board member of San Ramon Valley Tennis Club. I am writing this letter to share with you my concern about limiting access to the Osage Courts with the pickleball proposal. Danville has a very limited number of tennis courts and Osage is the only local courts available to us to play day-time weekday tennis in the Ladies Tennis Leagues. Allowing another competing sport at Osage courts would be devastating to San Ramon Valley Tennis Club. We have been in existence since 1968 as a local public tennis club. As you are aware, our membership is majority of Danville members, so those residents that pay rec fees are the majority representative of our club. We respectfully ask the council to protect our local tennis clubs’ ability to continue to use our scarce tennis court resources and keep the courts as is and available for day-time weekday tennis leagues. Please help us save San Ramon Valley Tennis Club. Respectfully, Lizabeth Connolly 11 Rima Court, Danville
