Do not click on links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. Hello, In regards to Agenda Item 4 (For the Good of the town) I have 2 comments. 1.) Very concerned about the atmosphere downtown on weekends and during the week. A few problem bar/restaurants are creating a negative environment. Have observed many nights with conflicting musical entertainment seemingly fighting for air space making for a ridiculously unacceptable and unattractive environment for patrons of other restaurants who want to enjoy their evening out. (ie Kick N Mule is not playing nice with Norms), Players is out of control. In addition, safety protocols at these 3 places are absolutely atrocious. I have lived here for 20yrs and walk downtown every day and have been spending my money to support all local restaurants and bars over the pandemic. These 3 are ruining it for everyone else in my opinion. COMMON SENSE SOLUTION: Have a meeting with these business owners with a mediator and get them to agree to work together to SHARE entertainment or rotate on weekends so they can all benefit - It's impossible to enjoy the night downtown when there are 3 or 4 musicians battling to be the loudest. Perhaps start with mellow music early and save the hardcore RAP and DJ until AFTER 10pm when the kitchens all CLOSE. 2.) Car Lot - For Sale on Danville Blvd. I understand this is never going away, it's a public street. However, with 60-100 cars parked there every weekend, and permits required for people to sell food or wares. Is there a way to get something passed in Danville to require anyone selling a VEHICLE in the town to have to register or get a permit to sell or otherwise be ticketed? Could be a nice revenue stream for the town. Otherwise, can we enforce littering, etc? Need more garbage cans on this end of town as well. -- Regards, 1 Ritzer (resident since 2001) Stacey 1 Danville Oak Place 925 719 1190 2
