Do not click on links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. To: Hon. Karen Stepper and Members of the Town Council: While grocery stores and gas stations are clearly essential to coping with this pandemic which may be with us for months, libraries are equally vital for community members of all ages. Continuing the 56 hours per week of operation into 2021 is just as essential for the well-being of this community Our Danville Library is appreciated and heavily utilized. It has one of the highest circulations of any library in the County. This is not an accident. The Senior Community Library Manager, Seng Lovan is dynamic and her programs and staff are innovative. They are in position to continue to manage the changes Covid will surely bring. Given those facts the Friends of the Danville Library Endowment Committee is asking that the Town Council approve funding to provide 56 open hours of service. Our commitment is strong. We along with the Danville Library Foundation have granted $100,000 total to help provide our community with the additional library service through the end of the year. We are grateful for the funding the Town has provided in previous years and look forward to your continued support. With Thanks The Friends of the Danville Library Endowment Committee 1
