•In-house preliminary design began April 2020
•Alternative alignment with less terrain obstacles, lower cost,
ADA compliant
•New topographic survey (Fall 2020)
•Diablo Rd/Fairway Dr crossing design (Fall-Winter 2020)
•Final design (Winter 2021)

•8-foot wide paved pathway
•Alignment from Fairway Drive to Alameda Diablo –parallel to Diablo Road
on south side, @1,000 feet long
•Re -establish creek bank with Mechanically Stabilized Earth (“MSE”) walls –
limited environmental impact and provides required width for pathway
•Roadway Crossing –Fairway Drive/Diablo Road intersection
Culvert crossing –east of Diablo Rd/Alameda Diablo intersection
•4 to 5-foot separation of pathway from roadway with barrier options
(guardrail/split rail fencing -TBD)
•ADA compliant
•Total Trail Length = 4,500 LF
