Extension

Good Day Marie,
First and foremost the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce would like to thank and applaud the Town and
the Council for their active engagement and action in support of all of our businesses in the Danville Area
during these trying times. The swift action and partnership between the Town Administration, Town Council
and Chamber, to expedite permitting, communicate, educate and advocate for and with the businesses has
been instrumental in their survival. In that same vain, and after speaking with the local businesses, the
Chamber finds the extension of the current Outdoor Dining program as a crucial need for the survival of our
businesses. Danville is an attractor of people and at the center of that attraction is our Foodie rich community.
Our restaurants have been able to survive through their ability to expand outside and through that our
community has been afforded its own “social bubble”. A place to feel normal, to escape online learning and
Zoom meetings and to be served with the comfort of home, friends and family. We need that to continue. Not
only for the financial future of our businesses and our community but for the psychological and emotional
well-being of our residents as they are the connective tissue that makes Danville…Danville. Thank you again
for your collective commitment to our home!
Best Regards,
Zae Perrin
