CALL TO ORDER The special meeting of the Danville Parks, Recreation and Arts Commission was called to order by Chair beech at 5:00 p.m. The meeting was conducted by Teleconference only. PRESENT: Brittany Beech, Chair Jane Joyce, Vice Chair Randall Diamond, Commissioner Kevin Donovan, Commissioner Kyler Fung, Commissioner Youth Representative Alesia Strauch, Commissioner Alec Tappin, Commissioner City Clerk Marie Sunseri provided information regarding the format of the meeting and guidelines for public comment. City Attorney Rob Ewing explained the Executive Order by Governor Newsom that resulted in the meeting being held by teleconference only. 2. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA There were no changes to the order of the agenda. 3. "FOR THE GOOD OF THE TOWN" There were no speakers. Parks, Recreation and Arts Commission Summary of Actions May 20, 2020 2 4. ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION/ACTION 4.1. Approval of the Summary of Actions from the February 12, 2020 Parks, Recreation and Arts Commission Regular Meeting. Commissioner Diamond requested an edit of an error on the Heart Around Hartz spelling. MOTION BY COMMISSIONER DIAMOND, SECOND BY COMMISSIONER STRAUCH, TO APPROVE AS AMMENDED THE SUMMARY OF ACTIONS OF THE FEBRUARY 12, 2020 PARKS, RECREATION AND ARTS REGULAR MEETING. MOTION CARRIED 7-0 5. REPORTS AND PRESENTATIONS 5.1. Update on the Town wide Bicycle Master Plan Town of Danville Transportation Program Manager, Andrew Dillard gave an update on the Town wide Bicycle Master Plan. The Commissioners questions were addressed. City Clerk Marie Sunseri opened the item to public comment. There were no public comments. City Clerk Marie Sunseri closed the item to public comment. 5.2. Parks, Recreation & Arts Department Director’s Report Recreation, Arts and Community Services Director, Henry Perezalonso provided and update on the status of the Recreation, Arts and Community Services Department, given the COVID-19 pandemic. 5.3. Commissioners’ Reports Commissioner Donovan made a recommendation to view the COVID-19 90 Day Review on the Contra Costa Health Services website. Parks, Recreation and Arts Commission Summary of Actions May 20, 2020 3 Commissioner Fung reported on the Danville Youth Council. Commissioner Tappin encouraged everyone to follow the Recreation Department on Instagram. Vice Chair Joyce reported on the joint meeting between the Town Council and the San Ramon Valley Unified School District. As of now, they do not know what school in the Fall will look like. The District is looking at a combination of in-person and virtual learning. Commissioner Chair Beech gave an update from the May 19, 2020 Town Council meeting 6.
