CALL TO ORDER The special meeting of the Danville Design Review Board was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Chair Combs. The meeting was conducted by teleconference only. 1.1 Roll Call Administrative Assistant, Joan Snashall conducted the roll call for attendance: Present: Mark Belotz, Board Member Robert Combs, Chair Afshan Hamid, Board Member Lou Palandrani, Board Member Kevin Wong, Board Member Excused: Chris Trujillo, Vice Chair 1.2 Announcements Administrative Assistant, Joan Snashall provided information regarding the format of the meeting and instructions for public comment. 2. CHANGES TO THE ORDER OF THE AGENDA There were no changes to the order of the agenda. 3. FOR THE GOOD OF THE TOWN There were no public comments received. 4. ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION/ACTION 4.1 Consider approval of the March 12, 2020 Meeting Summary. MOTION BY BOARD MEMBER BELOTZ, SECOND BY BOARD MEMBER HAMID, TO ADOPT ITEM 4.1 2 MOTION CARRIED 5-0-0-1: BOARD MEMBER TRUJILLO EXCUSED 5. DESIGN REVIEW ITEMS 5.1 Review and provide comments on the proposed 1,000 square-foot two- bedroom, two-bathroom Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) floor plan, including three alternate exterior elevations (Craftsman, Mediterranean, and Contemporary). This floor plan is one of three floor plans that the Town plans to develop as part of a collection of pre-approved detached ADU building plans for the Town’s Permit-Ready Granny Unit Program (Project Manager: Guillermo Santolaya). David Crompton, Principal Planner, presented the staff report. Francis Garcia, Francis Garcia Architect, provided additional details of the plans. Administrative Assistant, Joan Snashall advised the Board that there were no public comments received. David Crompton summarized the Design Review Board’s comments: • The material notes on the plans should be modified to be suggestions, while leaving flexibility for the applicant to use materials and styles to be complimentary to the primary residence. • All windows shall be of similar quality as the primary residence and shall meet all building code requirements related to energy efficiency. • The project architect should modify the plans to provide additional storage areas. 6. REPORTS AND COMMUNICATIONS 6.1 Board Member Reports There were no Board Member reports. 6.2 Town Updates There were no Town updates. 3 7.
