I, respectfully, disagree with the Council's viewpoint on displaying the Rainbow Flag during the month of June. It may
symbolize diversity in our community, but I don't feel it is necessary to fly it on town property along with our patriotic
flags. Homeowners can display the Rainbow Flag outside their homes without controversy if they choose. In addition,
many other organizations would request the same consideration for their flags - which could become a major issue of
contention. The American Flag, California Flag, POW/MIA flag and the Danville Flag should only be permitted in the
town's flag policy. We, as proud Americans and Danville citizens, share in the pride of those symbols and no other should
be considered. Thank you, most sincerely, to Mayor Stepper, the other Town Council members, the police department,
fire department, first responders and all those who have (and continue to) make our wonderful community safe and
provide law and order in these troubling times.
