SUBJECT: 2020 Design Awards Nominees
The Town of Danville presents the Town’s 10th Design Awards to recognize outstanding
architectural design and to promote excellence in project design. This award program
strives to raise public awareness of the value and design excellence that owners,
architects, and builders bring to all project types. The quality of these projects exemplify
and uphold the Town’s dedication to preserve and enhance the Town’s special history
and character. This year the categories are:
Category 1: Outstanding Residential Subdivision Home Design
Category 2: Outstanding Heritage Resource Design
Category 3: Outstanding Commercial Design
Category 4: Outstanding Custom Scenic Hillside Home Design
Please take the next week to review your nomination package and evaluate the nominees
with the score sheets provided in this packet. Site visits are highly encouraged and would
provide an understanding of the project in its physical environment. We also recommend
reaching out to the architects/builders to research additional information on the project.
We will collectively review the evaluations at the January 16, 2020 meeting.
Award winning projects will be recognized at a regularly scheduled Town Council
meeting in March of 2020. Projects will also be displayed on the Town’s website.
Thank you in advance for your extra efforts on this project. If you have any question
regarding this process, please direct them to my attention at (925)-314-3314 or
breyes@danville.ca.gov.
