AUTHORIZING STREET CLOSURES FOR THE
DANVILLE DEVIL MOUNTAIN RUN ON MAY 6, 2018
WHERE 11EREAS, the Danville llle De V ll 1Vloul Main Rul t is all event sponsored by 1\a Lalyst E V U11Ln,
LLC; and
WHEREAS, this event is supported and enjoyed by the residents of Danville and brings
visitors to the Town; and
WHEREAS, Katalyst Events, LLC is requesting street closures (Exhibit 1) to ensure the
safety of race participants; now; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Danville Town Council authorizes the following full or partial street
closures on Sunday, May 6, 2018, from 4:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., for the Danville Devil
Mountain Run:
For Elite, 5K and 10K courses
1. Between 4:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., closure of Railroad Avenue between Prospect
Avenue and San Ramon Valley Boulevard;
2. Between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., rolling closure of Hartz Avenue/San Ramon
Valley Boulevard between Railroad Avenue and Iron Horse Trail Crossing;
3. Traffic control at the traffic control signal on Hartz Avenue/ Danville Boulevard
at key intersections between Hartz Way and Hartford Road; and
4. Traffic control at the intersections of Iron Horse Trail at Hartford Road, Del
Amigo Road, Love Lane, Linda Mesa Avenue and Prospect Avenue;
For the 10K course only
1. North and Southbound closure of Sycamore Valley Road at Camino Ramon.
Vehicles will be detoured southbound Camino Ramon and northbound on
Brookside Drive;
2. Rolling closure on Camino Ramon between Sycamore Valley Road and Fostoria
Way;
3. Traffic control between 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. on Camino Ramon at Sycamore Valley
Road, Brookside Drive, El Capitan Drive, Greenbrook Drive and Fostoria Way;
4. Traffic control between 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at Iron Horse Trail and
Greenbrook Drive, El Capitan Drive, Paraiso Drive and Fostoria Way;
5. Westbound closure of Camino Tassajara at Sycamore Valley Road; (west bound
motorists will be detoured onto Old Camino Tassajara);
APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a regular meeting on February 6, 2018, by
the following vote:
AYES: Arnerich, Blackwell, Morgan, Stepper, Storer
NOES: None
