HomeMy WebLinkAbout099-2017RESOLUTION NO. 99-2017 AMENDING THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE SYCAMORE VALLEY PARK CAPITAL MAINTENANCE - RUBBER SAFETY SURFACING REPLACEMENT. PROJECT, CIP NO. B7495 WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council appropriated funding for the Sycamore Valley Capital Maintenance - Rubber Safety Surfacing Replacement Project, CIP No. B-495; and WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council adopted Resolution No. 84-2017, awarding a construction contract to SpectraTurf for the Sycamore Valley Capital Maintenance - Rubber Safety Surfacing Replacement Project, CIP No. B-495; and WHEREAS, additional safety surfacing must be replaced to ensure a safe playground and additional concrete work is required to reduce drainage concerns; and WHEREAS, the current construction contract with SpectraTurf must be amended to authorize an additional $17,856 in connection with the additional safety surfacing replacement and drainage corrections; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds have previously been appropriated by the Town Council to fund the change order; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council, that the Town Manager is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the Town, a contract amendment in the amount of $17,856 with SpectraTurf. APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a regular meeting on December 19, 2017, by the following vote: AYES: Arnerich, Blackwell, Morgan, Stepper, Storer NOES: None ABSTAINED: None ABSENT: None APPROVED AS TO FORM: CITY ATTORNEY ATTEST: CITY CL K
