HomeMy WebLinkAbout088-2017RESOLUTION NO. 88-2017 AMENDING THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE 2016/17 PAVEMENT REHABILITATION PROJECT, CIP NO. C -595B WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council has appropriated funding for the 2016/17 Pavement Rehabilitation Project, CIP No. C-59513; and WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council adopted Resolution No. 45-2017, awarding a construction contract to MCK Services, Inc. for the 2016/17 Pavement Rehabilitation Project; and WHEREAS, this project was previously found to be categorically exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act, Section 15301, Class 1; and WHEREAS, emergency repairs caused by the 2017 winter storms resulted in adding emergency storm drain and sinkhole repairs at Cameo Drive and Camino Encanto to CIP No. C -595B by separate contract change orders; and WHEREAS, the current construction contract with MCK Services, Inc. must be amended to authorize an additional $112,829 in connection with the emergency storm drain repairs; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds have previously been appropriated by the Town Council to fund the additional contract work; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council, that the Town Manager is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the Town, a contract amendment in the amount of $112,829 with MCK Services, Inc. APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a regular meeting on November 8, 2017 by the following vote: AYES: Arnerich, Blackwell, Mo NOES: None ABSTAINED: None ABSENT: None APPROVED AS TO FORM: I CITY ATTORNEY CITY CLERK
