HomeMy WebLinkAbout086-2017RESOLD T ION 1V O. 06 1. 11 AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT AND POSTING OF A THREE-HOUR PARKING TIME ZONE AND "ALL DAY PARKING BY PERMIT ONLY" PROVISIONS WITHIN THE ROSE STREET MUNICIPAL PARKING LOT WHEREAS, the streets and public facilities named in this resolution are maintained by the Town of Danville; and WHEREAS, parking studies conducted by the Town of Danville establish that a three- hour parking time zone and "All Day Parking By Permit Only" provisions are needed within the Rose Street Parking Lot to best serve the needs of the general public, merchants and employees of the downtown business district; and WHEREAS, the three-hour parking time zone is for the intended use of the general public; and WHEREAS, parking shall be permitted for a maximum time limit of three hours between the hours of 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday; and WHEREAS, "All Day Parking By Permit Only" shall be designated for 18 of the 78 parking spaces within the Rose Street Municipal Parking Lot; and WHEREAS, "All Day Parking By Permit Only" parking spaces are for the intended use of merchants and employees enrolled in the Town's Downtown Employee Permit Parking Program; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the Danville Town Council that pursuant to Section 22507(a) of the California Vehicle Code, a three-hour parking restriction, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, be posted for 78 parking spaces within the Rose Street Parking Lot; and, be it further RESOLVED by the Danville Town Council that pursuant to Section 22507(a) of the California Vehicle Code, that "All Day Parking By Permit Only" be posted for 18 parking spaces within the Rose Street Parking Lot.
