HomeMy WebLinkAbout080-2017RESOLUTION NO. 80-2017 APPROPRIATING FUNDING AND AUTHORIZING THE TOWN TO ENTER INTO A CONSULTANT AGREEMENT REGARDING DISPOSITION OF TOWN - OWNED PROPERTY AT 115-125 HARTZ AVENUE WHEREAS, the Town of Danville currently owns the property located at 115-125 Hartz Avenue in Downtown Danville; and WHEREAS, the Town is prepared to move forward with disposition of the property; and WHEREAS, the Town desires to proceed with a Requests for Proposals (RFP) process in which potential buyers could propose purchase of the property contingent upon being able to redevelop the site under a prescribed set of conditions in a manner which most furthers the Town's goals for revitalization of the north end of the downtown; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the Danville Town Council hereby appropriates $30,000 from the Town's Contingency Fund; and, be it further RESOLVED, by the Town Council that the Town Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute on behalf of the Town, a professional services contract with Carpenter Robbins Commercial Real Estate to provide consulting services regarding disposition of the Town -owned property at 115-125 Hartz Avenue.
