HomeMy WebLinkAbout105-2016RESOLUTION NO. 105-2016 AMENDING THE 2016/17 OPERATING BUDGET TO TEMPORARILY INCREASE STAFFING BY 1.0 FTE MAINTENANCE WORKER IN MAINTENANCE SERVICES WHEREAS, the 2016/17 Operating Budget appropriates all operating funds and establishes staffing levels necessary to provide municipal services; and WHEREAS, the Maintenance Services Department is continuing to operate with a staffing shortage of 2.0 FTE positions, as a result of ongoing workers compensation and disability claims, effectively reducing department staffing from 28.0 FTE positions to 26.0 FTE positions; and WHEREAS, additional staffing is necessary in order for Maintenance Services to perform necessary services in Parks, Roadside and Street Maintenance; now, therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Danville Town Council hereby amends the 2016/17 Operating Budget to temporarily increase staffing by 1.0 FTE Maintenance Worker, thereby temporarily increasing total staffing for Maintenance Services from 28.0 FTE positions to 29.0 FTE positions; and, be it further RESOLVED that at such time as ongoing workers compensation and disability claims have been resolved, total staffing levels for Maintenance Services will be returned to 28.0 FTE positions. APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a regular meeting on November 1, 2016 by the following vote: AYES: Arnerich, Doyle, Morgan, Stepper, Storer NOES: None ABSTAINED: None ABSENT: None CITY ATTORNEY
