APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 341 ROSE
STREET FROM THE SUCCESSOR HOUSING AGENCY TO THE FORMER
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE TOWN OF DANVILLE AND
APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR CIP PROJECT C-592 RELATED TO THE
PURCHASE
WHEREAS, the former Community Development Agency of the Town of Danville (the
"former CDA") purchased real property located at 341 Rose Street, using the Low and
Moderate Housing Fund of the Agency; and
WHEREAS, upon dissolution of the former CDA, the Danville Town Council adopted
Resolution No. 6-2011, electing to retain all of the housing assets and assume the
housing functions which were previously the responsibility of the former CDA; and
WHEREAS, the Housing Fund Due Diligence Review (the "DDR") prepared by the
Successor Agency to the former CDA and approved by the California Department of
Finance (the "DOF") in April 2013, identified 341 Rose Street as an asset of the Housing
Fund (now identified as the Successor Housing Agency); and
WHEREAS, the Town desires to purchase 341 Rose Street for inclusion in a public
parking lot to be constructed by the Town; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Danville Town Council hereby approves the purchase of the
property located at 341 Rose Street from the Successor Housing Agency for the price of
$973,800; and, be it further
RESOLVED, that in order to complete this acquisition, the Town appropriates $750,000
from the Civic Facilities Fund and $223,800 from the CIP General Purpose Fund to CIP
Project C-592 (Rose Street Parking Facility) and authorizes transfer of the $973,800 to the
Successor Housing Agency; and, be it further
RESOLVED, that the Town Manager is authorized to execute any documents and take
all actions necessary to complete the purchase of the property as provided for herein.
APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a regular meeting on March 1, 2016, by
the following vote:
AYES: Stepper, Morgan, Arnerich, Doyle, Storer
