HomeMy WebLinkAbout060-2015RESOLUTION NO. 60-2015 AUTHORIZING A CHANGE ORDER, TRANSFER OF FUNDS, AND APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR THE HARTZ AVENUE BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT CIP NO. C-391 WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council has previously appropriated funding for the Hartz Avenue Beautification Project, CIP No. C-391, in the adopted Capital Improvement Program; and WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council has previously appropriated funding for the San Ramon Valley Boulevard and Iron Horse Trail Signal Enhancement Project, CIP No. C-527, in the adopted Capital Improvement Program; and WHEREAS, a remaining component of CIP No. C-527, a decorative asphalt sidewalk, remains to be constructed; and WHEREAS, additional funding must be appropriated in order to fully fund the remaining component of the project; and WHERAS, East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) has agreed to compensate the Town of Danville for damage caused by a water main break last July; and WHEREAS, the EBMUD payment of $83,670 must be appropriated to help fund pavement overlay included in the Hartz Avenue Beautification Project, CIP No. C-391; and WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for the proposed work have been reviewed and approved by the City Engineer; and WHEREAS, the project has been found to be Categorically Exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) according to Guidelines Section 15301 (Class 1); now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council, that the unexpended balance of $18,500 in Measure J Return to Source funds be transferred from CIP No. C-527 to C-391; and, be it further RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council, that $5,978 in CIP General Purpose Revenue be appropriated in fiscal year 2015/16 for CIP No. C-391; and, be it further RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council, that the EBMUD payment of $83,670 is hereby appropriated to the Hartz Avenue Beautification Project, CIP No. C-391, to fund construction of the remaining components of the project; and, be it further RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council, that the Town Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute, on behalf of the Town, a written construction contract change order in the amount of $108,148 ($24,478 and $83,670) as part of the Hartz Avenue Beautification Project, CIP No. C-391 for the remaining component to Ghilotti Construction Company of Santa Rosa, California.
