AUTHORIZING STREET CLOSURES FOR THE
DANVILLE ANTIQUE AND ART FAIRE ON SEPTEMBER 7, 2015
WHEREAS, the Danville Antique and Art Faire (formerly known as Heartland Antique
Faire) is an annual event sponsored by the Discover Danville Association in cooperation
with the Museum of the San Ramon Valley; and
WHEREAS, this event is supported and enjoyed by the residents of Danville and brings
visitors to downtown; and
WHEREAS, the Discover Danville Association is requesting street closures in
downtown at the Railroad Avenue Municipal Parking lot; and
WHEREAS, in order to ensure the safety of the participants, it is necessary to close the
portion of the Railroad Avenue Parking lot north of the northernmost driveway for the
event (Exhibit 1); now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Danville Town Council that the parking area identified in Exhibit 1,
will be closed between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 7, 2015, for the
purpose of conducting the Danville Antique and Art Faire:
APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a regular meeting on February 17, 2015,
by the following vote:
AYES: Doyle, Stepper, Arneri.ch, Morgan, Storer
