HomeMy WebLinkAbout084-2013RESOLUTION NO. 84-2013 AMENDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE 2012/13 PAVEMENT SLURRY SEAL PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. C -570B WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council has appropriated funding in the current Capital Improvement Program for the Pavement Management Program, CIP Nos. C -570 and C -577; and WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council approved an award of a construction contract for the 2012/13 Pavement Slurry Seal Project, Contract No. C -570B in Resolution No. 65 -2013; and WHEREAS, after said construction contract was awarded, urgently needed pavement repairs have been identified at a cost that exceeds the previously approved total construction budget; and WHEREAS, the Town and the contractor of said contract have mutually agreed to perform the additional pavement repair work for a cost not to exceed $81,000; and WHEREAS, said contract needs to be amended to increase the total authorized construction budget by $81,000, resulting in an amended total construction budget of $867,290.05; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council, that the Town amend the construction contract for the 2012/13 Pavement Slurry Seal Project, Contract No. C -570B to increase the total authorized construction budget by $81,000 for a total revised budget of $867,290.05; and, be it further RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council, that the Town Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute, on behalf of the Town, a contract change order with Central Valley Engineering & Asphalt, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $81,000, for a total revised construction budget of $867,290.05 for work in connection therewith, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to attest same and affix thereto the official seal of the Town.
