HomeMy WebLinkAbout066-2013RESOLUTION NO. 66-2013 AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY (PG &E) FOR PHASE II OF THE DOWNTOWN LED STREET LIGHT REPLACEMENT PROJECT, CIP A -362 WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council has approved funding for Phase II of the replacement of the downtown street lights, CIP No. A -362, in the Capital Improvement Program; and WHEREAS, PG &E is offering an LED Street Light Replacement Service for replacement of existing low efficiency high - pressure sodium street light fixtures with high efficiency light emitting diode street light fixtures; and WHEREAS, replacement of high pressure sodium street light fixtures with light emitting diode street light fixtures will result in increased visibility, higher energy efficiency and reduced maintenance costs to be reflected in lower monthly billing rates from PG &E; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the Danville Town Council authorizes the Town Manager to enter into an agreement with PG &E for the Downtown LED Street Light Replacement Project for $66,760 and authorize use of a 10% construction contingency of $6,676 for a total budget of $73,436.
