HomeMy WebLinkAbout135-2012RESOLUTION NO. 135-2012 AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR SYNTHETIC TURF MAINTENANCE WHEREAS, on April 3, 2012, the Town of Danville awarded a construction contract to O.C. Jones & Sons, Inc., for the Sycamore Valley Park Synthetic Turf Replacement, Contract No. B -493; and WHEREAS, O.C. Jones & Sons, Inc., has asked that their annual maintenance and testing obligation under the construction contract be assigned to Shaw Sports Turf, a turf manufacturer affiliate; and WHEREAS, Shaw Sports Turf executed a Contract Services Agreement that hereupon will govern the annual maintenance and testing according to the requirements of the original construction contract; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the Town Manager be authorized to execute a Contract Services Agreement with Shaw Sports Turf for eight years of annual maintenance and testing at a total cost of $24,000.00 using funds previously appropriated from Project B -493. APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a regular meeting on November 7, 2012, by the following vote: AYES: Arnerich, Storer, Doyle, Stepper NOES: None ABSTAINED: None ABSENT: None APPROVED AS TO FORM: CITY ATTORNEY ATTEST: CITY CLERK
