HomeMy WebLinkAbout042-2012RESOLUTION NO. 42-2012 AUTHORIZING THE POSTING OF PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMITS ON PORTIONS OF VARIOUS STREETS WITHIN THE TOWN OF DANVILLE WHEREAS, the street sections listed below are maintained by the Town of Danville; and WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council resolves that, on the basis of individual engineering and traffic surveys, the maximum speed limit of 65 miles per hour (as indicated in Section 22349, "Maximum Speed Limit Law' of the California Vehicle Code) upon the following street sections is more than is reasonable or safe; and, WHEREAS, the prima facie speed limits declared by this resolution will facilitate the orderly movement of traffic in a reasonable and safe manner; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the Danville Town Council that pursuant to Sections 22357 and 22358 of the California Vehicle Code, the following prima facie speed limits are established: 25 m.p.h. on Hartz Avenue - Diablo Road to Hartz Way 30 m.p.h. on Green Valley Road - Diablo Road to Stone Valley Road 35 m.p.h. on Diablo Road - Green Valley Road to Alameda Diablo El Capitan Drive - Crow Canyon Road to St. Regis Drive 40 m.p.h. on Crow Canyon Road - Camino Tassajara to Town Limits San Ramon Valley Blvd. - jewel Terrace to Fountain Springs Drive San Ramon Valley Blvd. - Fountain Springs Drive to Town Limits 45 m.p.h. on Sycamore Valley Road - Camino Ramon to Greenbrook Drive APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a regular meeting on March 20, 2012, by the following vote: AYES: Andersen, Arnerich, Doyle, Storer NOES: None ABSTAINED: None ABSENT: Stepper A PPROVED A TO FORM: 9 CITY ATTORNEY F kvA s — ATTEST: „f s CITY R PAGE 2 OF RESOLUTION NO. 42-2012
