APPROVING TOWN CO- SPONSORED EVENTS
WHEREAS, the Town receives requests from community groups and organizations to
co- sponsor various events and activities; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council formalized the process for how these requests shall be
submitted, evaluated and approved to assure consistent and fair consideration; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council has a policy statement that describes how events and
activities shall be reviewed; and
WHEREAS, six event requests for 2011 were received and evaluated according to the
co- sponsorship policy; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Danville Town Council approve the following co- sponsored
events:
Full co- sponsorship
• Danville Children's Musical Theater Productions (2011/12 - 2014/15)
• Role Players Ensemble Theatre Productions (2011/12 - 2013/14)
• California Independent Film Festival Association's Danville International
Children's Film Festival (Fall 2011)
• Eugene O'Neill Foundations Eugene O'Neill Festival (September 2011)
• Trapped in a Rumor's Improvisational Comedy Shows (2011/12)
Limited co- sponsored
• Museum of the San Ramon Valley (February 2011); and, be it further
RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council that the Town Manager is hereby
authorized to execute, on behalf of the Town, contracts for co- sponsored events with
California Independent Film Festival Association, Danville Children s Musical Theater,
Eugene O'Neill Foundation, Role Players Ensemble Theatre, Trapped in a Rumor, and
Museum of the San Ramon Valley.
APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a regular meeting on December 21, 2010,
by the following vote:
AYES: Stepper, Andersen, Arnerich, Doyle, Storer
NOES: None
