RESOLUTION NO. 116-2010
APPROPRIATING FUNDS AND AUTHORIZING THE TOWN'S EXECUTION OF
A CONTRACT WITH FRANCISCO & ASSOCIATES FOR PREPARATION OF THE
STREET LIGHT SURVEY FOR THE DANVILLE STREET LIGHTING AND
LANDSCAPE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 1983-1
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 72-83, the Danville Town Council ordered the formation
of, and levied the first assessment within the Danville Street Lighting and Landscape
Assessment District 1983-1 (the "District") pursuant to the provisions of the
Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 (commencing at Section 22500 of the California
Streets and Highways Code), hereafter referred to as the" Act"; and
WHEREAS, as part of the Town's regular review of the District, it would be
appropriate to update the District's information regarding the street lights paid for
through Zone C assessments and ensure that all such lights are accounted for correctly
and billed at the appropriate rates; and
WHEREAS, the Town has previously contracted with the firm of Francisco &
Associates to serve as the District Engineer and desires to continue using the same
District Engineer; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available in Zone C for Francisco & Associates' services
to prepare the street light survey for the Danville Street Lighting and Landscape
Assessment District 1983-1; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Danville Town Council authorizes the appropriation of $46,000 to
contract Francisco & Associates as District Engineer for purposes of updating the
District's information, including the inventory, research for accuracy, audit, and
reimbursables, such as County Assessor maps, databases, etc.; and, be it further
RESOLVED, that the Danville Town Council authorizes the Town Manager to execute
a contract with Francisco & Associates for the preparation of the street light survey for
the Danville Street Lighting and Landscape Assessment District 1983-1.
