RESOLUTION NO. 112-2010
AWARDING A CONSULTANT CONTRACT FOR T ASSAJARA RANCH DRIVE
MEDIAN IMPROVMENTS, PROJECT NO. C-240
WHEREAS, funding is appropriated in the Town of Danville's Five-Year Capital
Improvement Program for the Tassajara Ranch Drive Median Improvements, Project
No. C-240; and
WHEREAS, the Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement pertaining to Southern Contra Costa Fees
for Traffic Mitigation ("JP A") as executed by the Town of Danville, the City of San
Ramon, and Contra Costa County includes a list of traffic mitigation projects to be
funded by Southern Contra Costa Fees ("seC Fees") imposed on development within
Dougherty Valley; and
WHEREAS, the traffic mitigation project listed in Exhibit B of the JP A as Improvement
Cl.l states, in part, liOn Tassajara Ranch Drive, remove median and add bike lane"; and
WHEREAS, said Project C-240 fulfills the requirements of the JP A with respect to
Tassajara Ranch Drive; and
WHEREAS, the Town solicited proposals from local engineering design firms to
develop plans, specifications and estimates for Tassajara Ranch Drive Median
Improvements for the project; and
WHEREAS, Harrison Engineering, Inc. of Pleasant Hill, California was determined to
be the most qualified consultant to complete the median project for the Town; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council, that the Town Manager be and hereby is
authorized to execute in duplicate, on behalf of the Town, the Consultant Services
Agreement with Harrison Engineering, Inc. of Pleasant Hill, California with a not-to-
exceed budget of $46,610, and authorize use of a 10% design contingency in the amount
of $4,661 for a total project budget of $51,271.
APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a regular meeting on October 5,2010 by
the following vote:
