HomeMy WebLinkAbout102-2010 RESOLUTION NO. 102-2010 APPROVING A NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR THE DIABLO ROAD/GREEN VALLEY ROAD REHABILITATION PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE IN THE CONSTRUCTION CONTINGENCY, CONTRACT NOS. A-365 & C-511 WHEREAS, on September 1,2009, the Town of Danville awarded a construction contract to MCK Services, Inc., for the Diablo Road/ Green Valley Road Rehabilitation Project, Contract Nos. A-365 & C-511; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has determined that the work under this project has been completed as of July 22,2010, in accordance with the plans and specifications thereof; and WHEREAS, the 10% construction contingency authorized by Resolution No. 95-2009 was exceeded by $56,445.80 due to the cumulative costs of three necessary Contract Change Orders plus adjustments to several bid quantities resulting in a total change order cost of $137,160.02; now, therefore, be it RESOL VED, by the Danville Town Council that said work by and with MCK Services, Inc., is hereby accepted as complete; and, be it further RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to file with the County Recorder of the County of Contra Costa, a Notice of Completion for said project within ten (10) days from the date hereof; and, be it further RESOLVED, that the Danville Town Council authorize a $56,445.80 increase in the construction contingency to fund necessary Contract Change Orders and bid quantity adjustments totaling $137,160.02. APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a regular meeting on September 7, 2010, by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSTAINED: ABSENT: Doyle, Stepper, Andersen, Arnerich, Storer None None None ~l~~.
