HomeMy WebLinkAbout092-2010 RESOLUTION NO. 92-2010 APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH HARRISON ENGINEERING INC. FOR THE WOODBINE PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT, CIP NO. B-512 WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council has previously approved funding in the Capital Improvement Program for the Woodbine Pedestrian Bridge Replacement Project, CIP No. B-512; and WHEREAS, the funding includes a grant from the Transportation Development Act (TDA), a state program administered by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission; and WHEREAS, the Town entered into a Professional Services Agreement with Harrison Engineering Inc. on December 16, 2009, for design services associated with the project; and WHEREAS, Harrison Engineering Inc. has submitted a request for an amendment that will amend the scope of services and increase the compensation limit to include construction support services; and WHEREAS, the adopted Capital Improvement Program allocates sufficient funding for the project to account for the requested increase in compensation limit; and WHEREAS, the work scope and compensation limit must be amended in order for Harrison Engineering Inc. to provide the needed additional services; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council, that the Town Manager be authorized to amend the Professional Services Agreement with Harrison Engineering Inc. to add additional services, and to increase the compensation limit as foHows: Paragraph I, "Scope of Services," of the agreement is hereby amended to include the new or changed work scope and tasks indicated in Harrison Engineering Inc.' s Work Scope and Fee Amendment Request No.1 dated July 27, 2010; and Paragraph 3A, "Compensation," of the agreement is hereby amended to indicate total compensation not-to-exceed $119,345.00 ($90,000.00 original + $29,345.00 current request); and, be it further RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council, that a 10% Design Contingency in the amount of $2,935.00 be available for subsequent changes that may be authorized by the Town Manager; and, be it further RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council, that all other terms and provisions of the original agreement remain unchanged.
