HomeMy WebLinkAbout088-2010 RESOLUTION NO. 88-2010 AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF AN ADDITIONAL 10 FEET OF RED CURB AS AN INTERIM MEASURE TO IMPROVE PEDESTRIAN SAFETY ON THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF HARTZ AVENUE AT EAST PROSPECT AVENUE WHEREAS, the streets named in this resolution are maintained by the Town of Danville; and WHEREAS, traffic and engineering surveys conducted by the Town establish that additional parking restrictions are needed at the northeast corner of Hartz Avenue at Prospect Avenue to enhance traffic safety, and WHEREAS, the implementation of additional red curb, declared by this resolution, will facilitate the orderly movement of traffic in a reasonable and safe manner, and WHEREAS, the implementation of additional red curb, as declared by this resolution, will be on a temporary basis as it will be replaced by the planned construction of permanent facilities, now, therefore be it RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council, that an additional ten feet of red curb be installed, resulting in a total of 20 feet of restricted parking, at the northeast corner of Hartz Avenue at East Prospect A venue.
