RESOLUTION NO. 38-2010
APPROPRIATING $6,500 IN CONTINGENCY FUNDS AUTHORIZING
THE PURCHASE OF THREE AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATORS (AED)
FOR THE TOWN-OPERATED TEEN CENTERS
WHEREAS, The Town provides programs, events and services at Teen Centers for
students in grades 6 through 8 who attend Middle Schools within the incorporated
boundaries of Danville and
WHEREAS; staff supervises many diverse students, with various backgrounds and
known and unknown health issues; and
WHEREAS, in the case of a cardiac emergency, staff is trained to administer
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and use an Automated External Defibrillator
(AED); and
WHEREAS; the Teen Centers currently do not have AEDs available to staff; now
therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Danville Town Council appropriates $6,500 in Contingency Funds
for the purchase of three Automated External Defibrillators (AED) for the Town-operated
Teen Centers.
APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a regular meeting on April 6, 2010, by
the following vote:
AYES: Doyle, Stepper, Arnerich, Storer
NOES: None
ABSTAINED: None
ABSENT: Andersen
