RESOLUTION NO. 22-2010
AUTHORIZING STREET CLOSURES FOR THE
THE 4TH OF JULY PARADE
WHEREAS, the 4th of July Parade is an annual event sponsored by the San Ramon Valley
Kiwanis Club and will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 4, 2010; and
WHEREAS, this event has been supported and enjoyed by the residents of Danville for 50
years; and
WHEREAS, in order to ensure the safety of the participants, it is necessary to close streets
for the event (Exhibit 1); now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council that the following streets will be closed on
Sunday July 4, 2009, between 6:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., for the purpose of conducting the 4th
of July Parade:
1. Danville Boulevard between El Cerro Boulevard and Railroad Avenue;
2. La Gonda Way between EI Cerro Road and Danville Boulevard (local
resident traffic only);
3. Hartz Avenue between Railroad Avenue and Hartz Way;
4. San Ramon Valley Boulevard between Hartz Way and Sycamore Valley
Road;
5. Railroad Avenue between Hartz A venue and Love Lane; and
6. Love Lane between Railroad Avenue and Verona Avenue
APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a regular meeting on March 16, 2010 by the
following vote:
