RESOLUTION NO. 56-2009
ACCEPTING GRANT OF TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION EASEMENT AND
GRANT OF PEDESTRIAN ACCESS EASEMENT FOR PUBLIC SIDEWALK AT
2604 CAMINO T ASSAJARA ASSOCIATED WITH THE CAMINO
T ASSAJARA/CROW CANYON SAFETEA-LU IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT,
CIP NO. C-508
WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council previously approved funding in the Capital
Improvement Program for the Camino TassajarajCrow Canyon SAFETEA-LU
Improvements Project, CIP No. C-508; and
WHEREAS, the project is funded by the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation
Equity Act: a Legacy for Users, a series of two federal grants administeresl by Caltrans; and
WHEREAS, the grants require that pedestrian facilities within the project boundaries be
upgraded in conformance with current accessibility standards for the disabled; and
WHEREAS, the sidewalk at 2604 Camino Tassajara, property owned by the United States
Postal Service (USPS), requires upgrade; and
WHEREAS, the USPS has executed a Grant of Temporary Construction Easement and a Grant
of Pedestrian Access Easement that will allow the Town to upgrade the deficient sidewalk,
and will allow the public to utilize the sidewalk in perpetuity; and
WHEREAS, the Town must accept the easements; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Danville Town Council hereby accepts the Grant of Temporary
Construction Easement and the Grant of Pedestrian Access Easement at 2604 Camino T assajara
and hereby directs the City Clerk to attach an executed Certificate of Acceptance to each
easement together with a certified copy of this resolution, and have each of the easement
documents recorded at the Contra Costa County Recorder's Office.

following vote:
