RESOLUTION NO. 52-2009
AUTHORIZING STREET CLOSURES FOR THE IISALUTE TO BLUEII
ONE-TIME FUNDRAISING SPECIAL EVENT ON MAY 31, 2009
WHEREAS, the "Salute to Blue" is a one-time fundraising special event sponsored by
Salute Entertainment and Gordon Clark of the Tower Grille and Vino Tecca; and
WHEREAS, the "Salute to Blue" is a one-time fundraising event where all proceeds of
the event will be donated to the children of fallen Oakland police officer and former
Danville resident Sergeant Ervin J. Romans; and
WHEREAS, in order to ensure the safety of the participants, it is necessary to close
streets for the event; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Danville Town Council hereby authorizes the following street
closures for the "Salute to Blue," a one-time fundraising special event:
On Sunday, May 31, 2009, between 1:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. (Exhibit 1):
1. Hartz Avenue south of the intersection at Diablo Road and north of
the intersection at Church Street;
2. East Prospect Avenue west of the intersection of Front Street and
Hartz Avenue (inclusive of Hartz Avenue);
APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a regular meeting on May 18, 2009, by
the following vote:
AYES: Arnerich, Andersen, Shimansky, Stepper
NOES: None
ABSTAINED: None
ABSENT: Doyle
