RESOLUTION NO. 59-2008
APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR THE 150TH ANNIVERSARY TOWN OF DANVILLE
COMMUNITY BARBEQUE ON JULY 3, 2008
WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council expressed a desire to host a Community Barbeque
in conjunction with the Kiwanis "Hay Days Celebration" on July 3, 2008 as a celebration of
the Town's 150th Anniversary; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Danville would be serve as the host of the Community Barbeque;
and
WHEREAS, the Town of Danville solicited bid proposals from local area catering
companies to cater and serve an estimated 2,000-4,000 individuals at the Community
Barbeque; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council at its September II, 2007 Study Session selected Kinder
Meats in Danville, from a number of bids, to cater this event in the amount not to exceed
$15,000; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Danville Town Council appropriates $15,000 in the FY 2007-2008
General Fund revenues for the 150th Anniversary Town of Danville Community Barbeque.
APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a regular meeting on May 20, 2008 by the
following vote:
AYES: Andersen, Arnerich, Doyle, Shimansky, Stepper
NOES: None
ABSTAINED: None
ABSENT: None
