RESOLUTION NO. 57-2008
AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER TO ADD ASPHALT DIG-OUT
REPAIRS ON CAMINO T ASSAJARA AND DIABLO ROAD, AND AN ASPHALT
OVERLAY ON MERRILEE PLACE, AS PART OF THE 2007/08 PAVEMENT
REHABILITATION PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. C-503C
WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council awarded a construction contract to MCK Services
for the 2007/08 Pavement RehabjIitation Project, Contract No. C-503C, on April 15, 2008;
and
WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council has appropriated funding for the project costs; and
WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for the proposed work have been reviewed and
approved by the City Engineer; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended adoption of a resolution for the purpose
of authorizing a contract change order for the subject project to MCK Services in order to
add asphalt dig-out repairs on Camino Tassajara and Diablo Road, and an asphalt overlay
on Merrilee Place; and
WHEREAS, this project was previously found to be categorically exempt from the
requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act, Section 15301, Class 1, and this
change does not alter that determination; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council, that the Town authorize a contract change
order to add asphalt dig-out repairs on Camino Tassajara and Diablo Road, and an asphalt
overlay on Merrilee Place, as part of the 2007/08 Pavement Rehabilitation Project, Contract
No. C-503C, to MCK Services of Concord, California; and, be it further
RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council, that the Town Manager be and hereby is
authorized to execute, on behalf of the Town, a written contract change order with
MCK Services of Concord, CA not to exceed $172,250 plus ten additional working days for
work in connection therewith, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to attest same and affix
thereto the official seal of the Town.
