RESOLUTION NO. 104-2005
AWARDING A SERVICE CONTRACT FOR THE TOWNWIDE TRAFFIC SIGNAL
AND STREET LIGHT POLE REPAINTING CONTRACT, CIP PROJECT A-418
WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council approved a call for bids for the Townwide Traffic
Signal and Street Light Pole Repainting Contract, CIP Project A-418; and
WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council has appropriated funding for the contract costs;
and
WHEREAS, proposals have been solicited, received and evaluated for Townwide traffic
signal and street light pole repainting services; and
WHEREAS, based on a comparison of both technical qualifications and price proposals,
California Custom Painting of San Ramon, CA was selected as the most qualified
contractor for Townwide traffic signal and street light pole repainting services; and
WHEREAS, this project is categorically exempt from the requirements of the California
Environmental Quality Act, Section 15301, Class 1; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council, that the Town Manager be and is hereby
authorized to execute, on behalf of the Town, a two-year contractual agreement including
an option to extend the term for three additional one-year periods for traffic signal and
street light pole repainting services with California Custom Painting of San Ramon, CA, in
form as lodged with the City Clerk, together with such changes as may hereafter become
necessary, provided such changes do not materially increase the obligations of the Town
thereunder; and, be it further
RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall within five (5) days of the adoption of this resolution,
transmit an Extract of Public Works contract award to the Department of Industrial
Relations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards, P.O. Box 603, San Francisco, CA 94101.
(Note: Should a finding of any discrepancy regarding this ratio of apprentices to
journeymen be made, the Town shall notify the Division of Apprenticeship Standards of
such findings).

following vote:
