AUTHORIZING STREET CLOSURES FOR THE
4TM OF JULY PARADE ON JULY 4, 2006
WHEREAS, the 4th of July Parade is an annual event sponsored by the San Ramon
Valley Kiwanis Club; and
WHEREAS, this event has been supported and enjoyed by the residents of Danville for
over 25 years; and
WHEREAS, in order to ensure the safety of the participants, it is necessary to close
streets for the event (Exhibit 1); now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council that the following streets will be closed on
Tuesday, July 4, 2006, between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., for the purpose of conducting
the 4th of July Parade:
1. Danville Boulevard between E1 Cerro Boulevard and Railroad Avenue;
2. Hartz Avenue between Railroad Avenue and Hartz Way;
3. San Ramon Valley Boulevard between Hartz Way and Sycamore Valley Road;
4. Railroad Avenue between Hartz Avenue and Love Lane; and
5. Love Lane between Railroad Avenue and Verona Avenue.
APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a regular meeting on June 21, 2005 by the
following vote:

NOES: None
ABSTAINED: None
ABSENT: None
