HomeMy WebLinkAbout038-04 RESOLUTION NO. 38-2004 AUTHORIZING THE POSTING OF PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMITS ON PORTIONS OF VARIOUS STREETS WITHIN THE TOWN OF DANVILLE WHEREAS, the street sections listed below are maintained by the Town of Danville; and WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council resolves that on the basis of individual engineering and traffic surveys, the maximum speed limit of 65 miles per hour (as indicated in Section 22349, "Maximum Speed Limit Law" of the California Vehicle Code) upon the following street sections is more than is reasonable or safe; and, WHEREAS, the prima facie speed limits declared by this resolution will facilitate the orderly movement of traffic in a reasonable and safe manner; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the Danville Town Council that pursuant to Sections 22357 and 22358 of the California Vehicle Code, the following prima facie speed limits are established: 25 m.p.h, on: Railroad Avenue - Danville Blvd to Prospect Ave Railroad Avenue - Prospect Ave to San Ramon Valley Blvd Tunbridge Road - Indian Home Road to End 30 m.p.h, on: E1 Cerro Boulevard - Danville Blvd to La Gonda Way EI Cerro Boulevard - La Gonda Way to E1 Pintado (loop) E1 Cerro Boulevard - E1 Pintado (loop) to Ackerman Dr Lawrence Road - Camino Tassajara to End 35 m.p.h, on: Camino Tassajara - Diablo Road to Old Orchard Dr Diablo Road - Camino Tassajara to E1 Cerro Blvd Diablo Road - E1 Cerro Blvd to Green Valley Rd Diablo Road - Alameda Nueva to Avenida Nueva E1 Rio - Toyon Terrace to E1 Pintado (west end of loop) 40 m.p.h, on: Camino Tassajara - Old Orchard Dr to Sycamore Valley Rd 45 m.p.h, on: Camino Tassajara - Sycamore Valley Rd to Holbrook Dr Camino Tassajara - Holbrook Dr to Crow Canyon Rd APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a regular meeting on April 20, 2004 by the following vote: AYES: Arnerich, NOES: None ABSTAINED: None ABSENT: None Doyle, Andersen, Shimansky, Stepper MA~OR APPROVED AS TO FORM: CITY ATTORNEY CITY CLERK
