AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL
INTERCONNECT ALONG THE GREENBROOK DRIVE OVERCROSSING AND
AT SYCAMORE VALLEY ROAD AND CAMINO RAMON INTERSECTION,
CONTRACT NO. C-046
WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council approved the call for bids for the installation of
traffic signal interconnect along the Greenbrook Drive overcrossing and at Sycamore
Valley Road and Camino Ramon intersection, Contract No. C-046; and
WHEREAS, this is a Capital Improvement Project with funds being appropriated by the
Measure C Return to Source funds; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of this Town did, in open session on the 23ra day of October,
2003, publicly open and read aloud the sealed bids received as required by law; and
WHEREAS, the low bidder is Mike Brown Electric of Cotati, California and the City
Engineer has recommended awarding a contract for the project to said firm; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council that the Town award the installation of traffic
signal interconnect along the Greenbrook Drive overcrossing and at Sycamore Valley Road
and Camino Ramon intersection, Contract No. C-046, to Mike Brown Electric of Cotati,
California; and, be it further
RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council, that the Town Manager be and hereby is
authorized to execute, on behalf of the Town, a written contract with Mike Brown Electric
for $27,548.00 plus a 15% construction contingency of $4,132.00 for a total of $31,680.00 for
work in connection with the installation of traffic signal interconnect along the Greenbrook
Drive overcrossing and at Sycamore Valley Road and Camino Ramon intersection,
Contract No. C-046, in the form as lodged with the City Clerk, together with such changes
as may hereafter be determined necessary, provided such changes do not materially
increase the obligations to the Town thereunder, and to receive and approve all bonds in
connection therewith, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to attest same and affix thereto
the official seal of the Town; and, be it further
RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall within five (5) days of the adoption of this resolution,
transmit an Extract of Public Works contract award to the Department of Industrial
Relations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards, P.O. Box 603, San Francisco, CA 94101.
(Note: Should a finding of any discrepancy regarding this ratio of apprentices to
journeymen be made, the Town shall notify the Division of Apprenticeship Standards of
such findings.)
