APPROVING A CALL FOR BIDS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC
SIGNAL INTERCONNECT ALONG GREENBROOK DRIVE OVER CROSSING
AND AT SYCAMORE VALLEY ROAD AND CAMINO RAMON INTERSECTION,
CONTRACT NO. C-046
WHEREAS, the Town has a project in the current Capital Improvement Program (CIP) to
interconnect all the traffic signals in Town; and
WHEREAS, all except five of the traffic signals owned and maintained by the Town have
been interconnected and are currently monitored from the Town's centralized master
computer; and
WHEREAS, the interconnection of these five traffic signals, as declared by this Resolution,
will allow for remote access of traffic signals at the intersections and would enhance
trouble shooting and diagnostic capabilities of the signals by the Town; and
WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for the installation of traffic signal interconnect
along Greenbrook Drive over crossing and at Sycamore Valley Road and Camino Ramon
intersection have been reviewed and approved by the City Engineer; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended adoption of a resolution for the purpose
of calling for bids for the project; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council, that the City Engineer is hereby authorized
and directed to call for bids for the installation of traffic signal interconnect along
Greenbrook Drive over crossing and at Sycamore Valley Road and Camino Ramon
intersection.
APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a regular meeting on October 8, 2003, by the
following vote:
