RATIFYING SAN RAMON VALLEY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
ORDINANCE NO. 18, AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 2001
CALIFORNIA FIRE CODE AND BY REFERENCE THE 2000 UNIFORM FIRE
CODE AND 1997 UNIFORM FIRE CODE STANDARDS, WITH
AMENDMENTS MORE APPROPRIATE FOR APPLICATION WITHIN THE
SAN RAMON VALLEY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Town of Danville lies within the geographical boundaries of the
San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District (the "District"), which has
responsibility for fire protection within the Town's geographical boundaries; and
WHEREAS, the District did on August 28, 2002 adopt Ordinance No. 18, an
Ordinance adopting the 2001 California Fire Code and by reference the 2000
Edition of the Uniform Fire Code and 1997 Uniform Fire Code Standards,
including local amendments; and
WHEREAS, these local amendments constitute amendments to building
standards relating to fire and panic safety adopted by the State Fire Marshal and
contained in the California Building Standards Code; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 13869.7(c) of the California Health and Safety
Code, such ordinances containing such local amendments are not effective
within the jurisdictional boundaries of the Town of Danville until ratified by the
Town Council; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED that the Danville Town Council does ratify San Ramon Valley Fire
Protection District Ordinance No. 18 to be effective in the Town of Danville.
APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a regular meeting on October 15,
2002, by the following vote:
