HomeMy WebLinkAbout088-02RESOLUTION NO. 88-2002 APPROVING A NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR THE PEDESTRIAN CURB RAMPS 2002 PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. A-064(02) WHEREAS, on June 11, 2002, the Town of Danville entered into a contract with Strange & Chalmers, Inc. for the Pedestrian Curb Ramps 2002 Project, Contract lqo. A-064(02); and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has determined that the work under this project has been completed as of August 2, 2002, in accordance with the plans and specifications thereof; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council that said work by and with Strange & Chalmers, Inc. is hereby accepted as complete; and, be it further RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to file with the County Recorder of the County of Contra Costa, a Notice of Completion for said project within ten (10) days from the date hereof. APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a regular meeting on September 3, 2002, by the following vote: AYES: NOES: None ABSTAINED: None ABSENT: Waldo Arnerich, Doyle, Greenberg, Shimansky VICE-MAYOR APPROVED AS TO FORM: CITY ATTORNEY ATTEST: CITY CLERK NOTICE OF COMPLETION Upon Recording Return to: City Clerk Town of Danville 510 La Gonda Way Danville, CA 94526 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN PURSUANT TO SECTION 3093 OF THE CALIFORNIA CIVIL CODE: 1. That on the 1 lth day of June, 2002, the Town of Danville, a municipal organization of the State of California, did enter into a contract with: Strange & Chalmers, Inc. 924 Lemon Street Vallejo, CA 94590 as Contractor for certain improvement work: to wit, Pedestrian Curb Ramps 2002 Project, Contract No. A-064(02) Old Orchard Road between Thomhill Drive and Foxhall Court; St. Helena Drive between Canfield Drive and Claridge Drive; Canfield Drive between St. Helena Drive, Farnum Court, and Camino Ramon 2. That the surety upon the bond of the Contractor for said improvement work is: Great American Insurance Company That said improvement work was accepted by the Danville Town Council as completed on the 3rd day of September, 2002 3. Contract Summary Contract completed on August 2, 2002 Contract days allowed - 30, Extensions - 0 Total Days 7 Total Days 30 4. Original (As-Bid) Contract Amount Total Change Orders (0) Final Contract Amount $32,767.50 0.00 $32,767.50 All work as described in the above named Contract between the above named Contractor and the Town of Danville has been completed in accordance with plans and specifications.
