HomeMy WebLinkAbout041-02RESOLUTION NO. 41-2002 AWARDING A DESIGN DEVELOPMENT CONTRACT FOR THE SYCAMORE VALLEY PARK RENOVATION PROJECT WHEREAS, the Town is continuing to evaluate various community facility needs which exist within Danville in order to better meet the needs of current Town residents; and WHEREAS, an opportunity exists at Sycamore Valley Park to increase and improve the field space available for use in various youth and adult sports such as baseball, soccer and lacrosse; and WHEREAS, the potential for replacing a portion of the natural grass surface at Sycamore Valley Park, with synthetic turf surface presents an opportunity to enhance use of the facility, reduce maintenance costs, and realize conservation of water; and WHEREAS, Abey/Amold Associates has submitted a proposal to the Town to provide design development services in connection with the Sycamore Valley Park Renovation Project, and Abey/Amold Associates is currently the landscape architect involved with the bocce ball and lighted basketball court project at the park; now, therefore be it RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council that the Town Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute, on behalf of the Town, a Design Development contract with Abey/Amold Associates, of San Rafael, California, for $32,000 for work in connection with the Sycamore Valley Park Renovation project.
