HomeMy WebLinkAbout122-01RESOLUTION NO. 122-2001 AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE SYCAMORE VALLEY PARK CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NOS. B-284, B-277 AND B-329 AND UTILIZING FUNDS FROM PROJECT NO. B-209 WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council approved this project in the 1997/98-2000/01 Capital Improvement Programs; and WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council approved the call for bids for Sycamore Valley Park Capital Improvement Project Nos. B-284, B-277 and B-329; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the Town of Danville did, in open session on the 14th day of November 2001, publicly open and read aloud the sealed bids received as required by law; and WHEREAS, the low bidder is Valley Crest Landscaping of Pleasanton, CA, and the City Engineer has recommended awarding a contract for the project to said firm; now, therefore be it RESOLVED, that funds from Projects Nos. B-284, B-277, B-329 and B-209 be utilized for said improvements; and; be it further RESOLVED, funding will be reallocated as follows: Current funds available Reallocated Funds B-284 $152,158 $256,709 B-277 $276,613 $203,492 B~329 $ 23,991 $ 55,016 B-209 $ 64,304 $ 0 $517,304 $515,217 and; be it further RESOLVED, by the Danville To~vn Council that the Town award the contract for the Sycamore Valley Park Capital Improvements identified in Projects Nos. B-284, B-277 and B-329 to Valley Crest Landscaping of Pleasanton, CA; and, be it further RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council, that the Toxvn Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute, on behalf of the Town, a written contract with Valley Crest Landscaping of Pteasanton, CA for $451,945 plus a 14% construction contingency of $63,272 for a total of $515,217 for work in connection with the Sycamore Valley Park Capital Improvement Project Nos. B-284, B-277 and B-329, in the form lodged with the City Clerk, together with such changes as may hereafter be determined necessary, provided such changes do not materially increase the obligations of the Town thereunder, and to receive and approve all bonds in connection therewith, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to attest same and affix thereto the official seal of the Town; and, be it further RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall within five (5) days of the adoption of this resolution, transmit an Extract of Public Works contract award to the Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards, P.O. Box 603, San Francisco, CA 94101. (Note: Should a finding of any discrepancy regarding this ratio of apprentices to journeymen is made, the Town shall notify the Division of Apprenticeship Standards of such findings.)
