ADOPTING THE 2001/02 MASTER FEE SCHEDULE
FOR USER AND COST RECOVERY FEES
WHEREAS, the Town of Danville charges facility use fees for the rental and use of Town- owned
and/or maintained facilities; and
WHEREAS, the Town charges planning and engineering processing and permit fees for the
purpose of recovering the reasonable costs of providing these services; and
WHEREAS, the Town charges City Clerk and Police processing fees for the purpose of recovering
the reasonable costs of providing these services: and
WHEREAS, the Town Council has previously established such fees as part of the Danville
Municipal Code as part of the Master Fee Schedule through resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council conducted a public hearing to receive testimony regarding the
proposed increases in user and cost recovery fees, notice of which hearing was provided as required
by law; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council that the Master Fee Schedule for User and Cost
Recovery Fees, as set forth in Exhibit 1 attached hereto, is hereby adopted. Any increased planning
and engineering fees shall not go into effect for 60 days from adoption of this resolution. Until then,
the existing fees shall remain in effect.

Minimum base fee of $250
T&M is time and materials charge for stafftime necessary to process the permit.
Deposit amounts are set at the assumed average cost to provide the service. If the cost to provide the service exceeds the
deposit, the applicant will be billed the cost over run. If the cost to provide the service is less than the deposit, then the unused
balance from the deposit will be refunded to the applicant.
These :fEes are set by Assembly Bill 3158, authorizing the County Clerk to collect fees for the Department ofFish and Game.
The Town and the Comity Clerk each retain $25.00 on each fee collected to cover processing expenses.
This fee may be reduced to $200 by the Development Services Director in cases of minor additions to residential or
commercial structures.

At the request of numerous building officials, Building StandardsTM offers the following building valuation data representing
average costs for most buildings. Because residential buildings are the most common for many cities, two general classes are
considered for these, one for "average" construction and the other for "good."
Adjustments should be made for special architectural or structural features and the location of the project. Higher or lower trait
costs may often result.
The mt costs are intended to comply w th the defnnt on of valuatl in Section 223 of the 1997 Uniform Building CodeTM
and thus include architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing and mechanical work, except as specifically listed below. The unit
costs also include the contractor's profit, which should not be omitted.
The determination of plan check fees for projects reviewed by the International Conference of Building Officials will be based
on valuation computed from these figures, which were established in April 200 I.

The following modifiers m-e reconmaended for use in conjunction with the building valuation data. Additionally, certain
local conditions may require further modifications. To use these modifiers, merely multiply the listed cost per square foot by the
appropriate regional modifier. For example, to adjust the cost of a Type III One-hour hotel building of average construction for
the Iowa area, select Regional Modifier 0.80 and unit cost from valuation data, $85.80:
0.80 x 85.80 = $68.64 (adjusted cost per square foot)
